About this Guide
The Department of Public Policy and Administration (PPAD) was launched in 2009 as part of a restructuring process that also resulted in the establishment of AUC’s School of Global Affairs and Public Policy. Graduate study in public administration has a long and distinguished history at AUC, dating back to the mid-1960s, when public administration was first offered as a specialization as part of the master’s in management. More than 300 AUC public administration alumni testify to the value of our program, pursuing careers in government, the private sector, international organizations and civil society. PPAD currently offers three flagship graduate programs: Master of Public Administration (MPA) and Master of Public Policy (MPP), both accredited by NASPAA,, a US-based Network of Schools of Public Policy, Affairs and Administration as well as an MGA (Master of Global Affairs).
