Learning Commons  

The Learning Commons is open all hours that the Library is open.  Normal library hours are:

Sunday through Thursday 8:30am - 11:00pm

Saturdays 9:30am - 7:30pm

The library is closed on Fridays.

Learning Commons: Your Space

The Learning Commons is Your Space!  Located on the Plaza Level of the Library, students are encouraged to use the Learning Commons as a central place to relax with friends, enjoy food or drink, listen to music, watch videos, catch up on the news, update facebook, and more.  Please remember to be respectful to those around you and always use headphones.

 The Learning Commons is a collaborative, user centered environment that provides AUC students with the resources, technology, and user support needed to produce the assignments necessary to complete their coursework.  The Learning Commons has:

• a Help Desk where Student Technology Assistants are available all day long to help students with Blackboard, Moodle, Powerpoint, Web 2.0, Google applications, and other software and multimedia applications.
• STA Workshops (April)
  
• a UTI Help Desk
  
• a Writing Center Annex.
• a Multimedia Lab.
  
• 3 of the 23 Group Study Rooms located in the Library.
• Hardware and Equipment available for checkout.
• 26 Daily Use Lockers
  
• 90+ computer stations.
• 2 scanners.
• a Print Station.
• a Self-Print Station.
• Workstations where students may work independently or collaboratively.

The Learning Commons is not meant to be a space tailored to the needs of those that need quiet, solitary study space.  If that is your preference, please try the second floor of the library which is the Library's designated Quiet level.
